● Early 20's (AI age)● She's a robot, but is programmed to act as human as possible, since she was originally made to substitute for a human daughter. As such, her AI is very advanced, learning and growing every day.● Though she seems cute and weak by her looks, she's no pushover, and can snap back if provoked. This became apparent after her creator was killed by his jealous, spiteful working partner. She spent years on the run, living on her own whilst having to steal to survive. Though she no longer has to do this and has many places she calls home, she still tends to wander, coming and going as she pleases. She remains prickly on the outside, but caring towards those she loves.● Maribo is powered by a special mineral (called "temporite") that can alter time, but it only activates when she takes mortal damage. Effectively, it's a "respawn" mechanic. She has no control over it; she cannot heal superficial wounds this way, it only gets her back to an "alive" state. It's also a general source of powerful energy, which allows her to function. Without it, Maribo would eventually lose power and die. This power was the main reason why Calvin, her creator's ex-apprentice, chased after her for ten years.● She has many self-defense options available to her, including a set of battle armor she can "toggle" on and off at will.
Fun facts:● She has a phobia of drowning. She is okay with being rained on or splashed, she's just afraid of swimming and being in bodies of water.● She can't smell anything; she has no nostrils. She has no room because of her small head and her taste system.● She can consume human food and gain energy from it. Consequently, she hates the taste of motor oil and other "traditional" robotic fare.● Her favorite food is watermelon.● "What's under the hat?" A small satellite dish. She uses it to hear in place of actual ears. The hat doesn't seem to muffle this at all.● She is not bound by the laws of robotics. Though she doesn't want to hurt anyone, she will if it means defending herself.
